TCI Safe Safar, a health & safety initiative by TCI, was conferred with FICCI Road Safety Award 2019 under the category “Innovative Educational Program for Raising Awareness in Road Safety” during the fourth edition of the Conference on Road Safety at FICCI House, New Delhi on 5th December, 2019.
The award was presented by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Minister, Shri Baijayant Jay Panda, National Vice President and Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was received by Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head – Business Development, TCI and team.
FICCI, to promote road safety initiatives, instituted ‘FICCI Road Safety Awards’ which are conferred on corporates, PSUS & Schools, under different categories, for their outstanding work in Road Safety. It is a part of their annual flagship program.
The objective is to leverage expertise of corporates to come up with possible solutions that could mitigate or reduce occupational road risks and fatalities.
11 months since its launch, TCI Safe Safar has travelled across 7 states in the county, crossing over 9500 kilometers and has touched the lives of more than 10,500 truck drivers and over 9 lacs people who have pledged to health & safety.
We have also had great associations and partnerships during this journey. In the next 2 years, the initiative aims to touch 50,000 drivers.
