Deliverables/Outcomes

  • Develop and implement financial planning aligned with international freight forwarding business objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for international operations.
  • Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI guidelines, Customs Act, GST, Income Tax, and international conventions (e.g., Incoterms® 2020 etc.)
  • Liaise with statutory auditors, customs, and regulatory authorities.
  • Knowledge of IND AS applicable provisions
  • Manage Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, and international payment instruments
  • Oversee credit risk, currency risk, and insurance for cargo movements.
  • Oversee billing, invoicing, and reconciliation for freight, demurrage, detention, and other charges.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of DDU, DDP, FOB, CIF, and other Incoterms® transactions.
  • Handle GST on cross-border transactions, export incentives, and transfer pricing compliance.
  • Ensure correct application of DTAA (Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements) for non-resident payments.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the team.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and legal teams for contract review and risk and control assessment.
