Responsibility

Handling Freight Forwarding Business from the Kolkata office.
Handle Bangladesh Business as well (Chittagong) (Monthly travel to Bangladesh expected).
Handle Cross-Border Transportation.
Experienced in Road, Sea, Air and Rail Exports

The candidate must have

At least 10-15 years’ experience in NVOCC / International Freight Forwarding, customs, and operations.
Client development experience is a must.
The candidate should have travelled well for business.
Postgraduate in any stream, having excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Bengali. Bengali is a must.

Trade experience as

NVOCC/FF Operations

A person must be aware of the total operational activity of the container in and out movement at Chittagong port.
Well aware of the manifestation process in port and customs.
Know how to manifest and ensure smooth operation for handling Tank containers and special equipment in the Port.
Candidate must also possess good knowledge of Port/Customs and other official requirements to handle containers in port.
Having a good awareness of all the compliances of the port and customs
Having a basic idea of handling of ISO Tank/GP containers in Chittagong port for In & Out movement.
Must be aware of the procedure to get permission for discharge & load of Dangerous Goods (DG) container
Having good contacts and liaisons with shipping Lines.
Maintain MIS, DSR & ECR on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Must have the ability to understand and draw the SOP of NVOCC operation and Freight Forwarding Operation in Chittagong Port.

Freight Forwarding Operation and Sales

Must have basic knowledge of International freight forwarding, operations, Documentation and Business development.
Must have the ability to speak and appear before the port, customs, other officials and as well as to customers.
Well aware of trade movement to/from Chittagong port, may update to corporate / BD team time to time.
Having a good rapport with shipping lines to procure the freight rate for forwarding business as and when required.
Having thorough knowledge of Bill of lading, types of B/Ls and their implications.
Having the ability to consolidate and collect the potential customer list from different local sources for further business development.
Must have basic knowledge of documentation of container shipping and freight forwarding booth in & out-bound
