This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard the information provided by our customers through the App. This Policy is supplementary to the Privacy Policy provided in our website and applies specifically to the information accessed or collected via the App.

We request you to carefully read this Policy before sharing Your Information with us. By clinking the acceptance button, you agree to comply with our policies. In the event you do not wish to be bound by these terms, you have a choice, which is free from any form of coercion or undue influence, to not access the App. You also agree that the information furnished by you is lawful, true and correct. No liability pertaining to the authenticity, genuineness, misrepresentation, fraud and/or negligence, etc. of the information disclosed shall lie on TCIL nor will TCIL in any way be responsible to verify any information obtained from you.

We collect your exact location to ensure that our personnel can navigate directly to your specified address, reducing delays and improving the efficiency of our service. Additionally, location data helps in optimizing pick-up/delivery routes, which can lead to faster deliveries/pick-ups and lower the costs.

2. CAMERA ACCESS:

The App may request access to your device’s camera inter alia for the following purposes:

Identity Verification: You may be asked to take a selfie to verify your identity, which is crucial for ensuring the security of your account and preventing unauthorized access.

Support Requests: In case of any issues or queries related to your consignments, you may need to take and submit photos to assist our support team in resolving the matter. This could include photos of damaged materials, incorrect deliveries, or any other relevant images.

3. PHOTO GALLERY ACCESS:

We may request access to your device’s photo gallery for the following purposes:

Document Upload: You may need to upload photos of documents related to your consignments, such as receipts, invoices, or proof of delivery.

Support Requests: If necessary, you can select and upload images from your gallery to address any issues or provide additional information for customer support.

4. DEVICE ID:

We collect your device’s unique identifier (Device ID) to ensure that your account is linked to your specific device. This helps in preventing unauthorized access to your account and maintaining the integrity of your data. The Device ID is also used to deliver personalized experiences and customize the App’s functionality to your needs.

5. IMEI NUMBER:

The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number of your device is collected as an additional layer of user identification. This unique identifier allows us to verify the authenticity of your device and helps in safeguarding your account against fraudulent activities.

C. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

The information collected through the App is used for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To track consignments and ensure timely and accurate pickup and delivery.
  • Identity Verification: To confirm your identity and provide personalized support.

We will keep Your Information for as long as necessary to provide the logistics and transportation services to you, and to comply with any legal and /or statutory obligations.

D. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We do not share or disclose the Customer Information to third parties, except as necessary for service delivery, legal or statutory compliance, or with your explicit consent. All data sharing is conducted in accordance with our existing Privacy Policy.

We may share Your Information, if required to be disclosed by valid order/direction of any government agency or by a proper court of competent jurisdiction

E. DATA SECURITY

TCIL has implemented adequate security measures to protect Your Information against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. However, TCIL will not be responsible for any loss, unauthorized access or any harm caused to you, unless it is a direct and foreseeable consequence of negligence and non-compliance on the part of TCIL.

You have the right to access, update, or delete Your Information at any time. You can manage your permissions for location, camera, gallery, and other accesses through your device settings. You may withdraw your consent for processing of Your Information at any time. However, if you request us to delete or otherwise stop processing Your Information, you may not be able to access some features and services of the App.
