Refund and Claims Policy

We at Transport Corporation of India Limited (TCIL) are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers. This Refund and Claims Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and claims may be requested. By availing our services, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy.

1. Eligibility for Refund

This refund & claim procedure is limited only to those user who are making online payment through TCIL Official Website. Refund requests must be made within 7 days from the date of availing of the service. Requests made after this period will not be eligible for a refund. In order to qualify for a refund or credit due to Service Failure, the following limitations apply:

  1. For any claim or refund, TCIL reserve its right to pay back the refund and claim to any user only after the deduction of demurrage charges, Freight Charges, Taxes and any expenditure pending against the user/client/customer, if any;
  2. After the claim or refund arise by the user/client, if any, the same will be directly transferred to user/client/customer account, from where it is deducted. The whole process will take 60 days’ time. User/client/customer will not be entitled to claim any interest refund amount.
  3. This Refund and Claim policy is limited to refunds arising out of online payment and not for raising any claim for damages/loss or delay in delivery etc.
  4. We are not obligated to respond or provide any credit or refund if you have not paid for Services, if applicable; or when your request is not received within the time limits stated above.
  5. In cases of duplicate or overpayment, a refund will be processed after the due verification.

2. Exclusions

  1. A refund or credit will not be given for shipments delayed due to incorrect addresses or the unavailability or refusal of the consignee to accept delivery or sign for the package.
  2. For shipments to and from domestic destinations, no refund or credit will be given if there is any delay in delivery due to government (state/central)/tax authority, Customs or any other regulatory delays.
  3. This refund policy does not apply to undeliverable or returned shipments.
  4. Services that have been fully delivered and where no deficiency has been reported.
  5. Services cancelled by the customer after commencement or partial delivery.
  6. Fees related to administrative charges, or government levies (if any).
  7. Customized or tailored services that have already been executed.
  8. Delay or non-delivery owing to any force majeure event or act of god or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of TCIL

8. Governing Law

This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gurgaon, Haryana.

9. Effective Date

This policy will be effective from 7.10.2024.

 

This policy is supplementary to the terms and conditions mentioned in the Consignment Note issued by TCIL.
