TCI Foundation also accomplished its social responsibility in education sector in 2014-15. TCI-DAV Public School students have predominantly excelled in sports, Olympiads, cultural activities and academics. The school has been providing quality education to students of rural and tribal families in remote area of Jharkhand. TCI Foundation in collaboration with NIIT Foundation has developed resources to educate the youth of the region and more than 100 girls and boys have successfully completed the course. TCI Foundation in collaboration with Government of Jharkhand undertaking JHARCRAFT has strengthened the rural cottage industry by implementation of capacity building programme for rural women artisans.
We are delighted to share that 4 women weightlifters from Urmila Sports Academy bagged two Gold and two Silver medals on the first day of Weightlifting Competitions held at Khelo India, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India at Guwahati, Assam.

Gold: Ms. Usha Kumari who lifted a total of 145 kg in women’s under-49kg category. With this achievement, she has made her place in the Asian Junior Weightlifting Championship to be held in Uzbekistan this year.
Gold: Ms. Boni Mangkhya under-55kg category.
Silver: Ms. Sapna Kumari who lifted a total of 140kg in the women’s under-49kg event.
Silver: Ms. Anai Wangsu under-59kg category.
We are honored and proud that one of our athletes from the Urmila Sports Academy has been conferred with a Gold medal in the 65th Boxing School National Championship held in New Delhi. The event was hosted by the School Games Federation of India at Chhatrasal Stadium from 17th - 22nd November 2019.
It gives us immense pleasure to share that 11 athletes from Urmila Sports Academy have won 11 medals – 8 Gold and 3 Silver – in the 11th Sub-Junior State Weightlifting Championship 2019.

In its pursuit to provide the best skilling program to the unemployed youth across the country, TIOL has recently come-up with new centres at Cuttack (Odisha), Balasore (Odisha) and Sitapur (UP).
Centres are yet to be added at locations like Jabalpur (MP), Bharatpur (Rajasthan), Burdman (WB) and Pratapgarh (Rajasthan).
In the last 1 year, 500+ skilled youth have been placed in various companies of the logistics industry such as FedEx, Darcl, Sugam Parivahan, Safexpress etc. TIOL has set a target to increase the count to 3000+ in the FY 2019-20.
TCI DAV Public School, Khunti (Jharkhand) celebrated its 12th Annual Day Programme on 6th April 2019.
Ex-Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Arjun Munda (Chief Guest) inaugurated the programme. The occasion was attended by Shri DP Agarwal, VCMD, TCI Group; Dr. Munish Chander, Project Director & Head, TCI Foundation; various school dignitaries and other members of the school managing committee.
It was great to see the students perform with zeal and enthusiasm.The school also released its annual magazine “Pragati” during the cultural programme. Bhumi Poojan for the construction of new school building was done by Shri DP Agarwal, VCMD, TCI Group in the presence of other dignitaries.
A state-of-the-art training center was opened at Pataudi road, near Gurgaon on 10th June 2015.The multi-floored, high-tech enabled training center has two class rooms with audio-video and mock-room/activity area for the learning participants. It also has sprawling cafeteria and a recreational area equipped with indoor games like carom board, chess and table-tennis. On its second and third floor it has rooms on twin-sharing basis with facilities equivalent to any 3-star premises. The training center has huge space around the building with beautiful landscape that adds distinction to its serenity.
The Foundation is always at the forefront of developing sports and sportspersons in India. Ms. Tanishka Kotia, age 12 years who has been awarded with 5 Gold and 4 Silver Medals in various accredited championships held in India was sponsored by the Foundation to excel in various national and international competitions.
The Foundation rendered technical support services in Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014. Dr. Munish Chander Head TCI Foundation was taken on board as Member CGF Medical Commission under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, to provide comprehensive support to Commonwealth Games. The Foundation also provided technical support services to the World Kabaddi League (WKL) hosted under the patronage of Deputy Chief Minister Punjab.
