TCI Foundation in association with US AID and JSI is implementing project GUARD with an objective to meet the demand and distribution of COVID-19 vaccination, particularly among the vulnerable and marginalized population. The project is being implemented by TCI Foundation in direct coordination with the State Government's Health Department and District Health Authorities and District Administration. The project is being implemented in18 selected states/union territories of India. A total of 11,550 beneficiaries have been inoculated till Jan 2022, including industrial workforce, truckers, allied population and others.

End AIDS”, TCI Foundation in association with State AIDS Control Society organised health camps at various locations. During the camp, HIV & RPR testing, street plays, session on HIV/AIDS Awareness, mask & sanitizer distribution, HIV awareness rally was also conducted.

TCI Foundation marked “International Sports Day” with great enthusiasm on 6th April, 2021 at Khushi Clinic - Ludhiana, Rudrapur and Chandigarh. The celebration of the event sensitized the truckers about the importance of sports and games. Health Games were organized by TCI Staff & Truckers along with the Transporters. Post the event, prize distribution was also conducted. All the participants appreciated the event and desired for more such events to be organized in future for creating awareness.
Khushi clinics & TCI Foundation organized COVID-19 awareness camps for truckers across various locations. A Q&A session was conducted by the Khushi clinic team and various types of health games were held during the awareness programme. Masks and sanitizers were distributed among truck drivers and helpers during the campaign. Adoption of safer preventive behavior and practices through behavior change strategy was the key focus on spreading COVID–19 management awareness. The trucker population was equipped to spread the information and key messages related to hand wash, personal hygiene and social distancing.

The camp turned out to be very supporting as many people having knee deformity, wounded hands underwent treatments like Orthotic, Prosthetic.

72nd Republic Day was celebrated through national flag hoisting by TCI across all its offices in India on 26th January to mark the day when the Constitution of India came into effect.
Road safety week is observed each year with great enthusiasm by TCI Foundation staff and on this year, TCI Foundation organized Road Safety Health Camps at 10 locations across the country (Belagavi, Bhilwara, Chandigarh, Haldia, Haridwar, Krishangiri, Ludhiana, Pata and Rudrapur). The one-week long campaign was organized from 2nd-11th February, 2021. The drivers were educated through virtual platform and workshop about safe driving rules and regulations. The training was imparted by designated experts on Road safety.
TCI was announced as the winner of the “5th National Competition for Managers” under Private Sector category by All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body of management professionals in the country, on 3rd February 2021. The theme for this year was ‘Organisation in the New Normal: Redefining Purpose, Orientation & Action’ the program was conducted online completely through the regional rounds and the national grand finale. Over 50 teams participated across India and presented all activities that their respective organisations undertook in the face of the adversities posed by the COVID-19 pandemic – the challenges, impact, opportunities, roadmap to new processes, and so on. Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) organized a webinar on “Logistics & Supply Chain Management - Focus: North East India” on 30th July, 2020. Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head –Business Development, TCI was one of the speakers in the webinar and shared his valuable insights on the key points: adopting technological innovations, upgrading infrastructure, and enhancing resource skills, and making difference through inter-country movement of goods.
TCI Bangladesh handled cross-border end-to-end movement of two trains from India to Bangladesh which is a major land port. The first rail movement started from Kolkata, India to Benapole, Bangladesh loaded with large volume of value added goods on 26th July, 2020.
The other rail movement carried automobiles from Uttarakhand, India to Benapole.
This initiative in itself is a great achievement because the turnaround time of the rail multi-modal movement in either cases i.e. 36 hours for value-added goods and around 63 hours for the automobiles proved to be a milestone. It has resulted in faster movement of goods with shorter lead time in delivery of goods; along with substantial amount of savings thereby contributing towards end-to-end Green logistics by reducing carbon footprint.

We are honoured and proud that one of our Women Weightlifters, Ms Boni Mangkhya from Urmila Sports Academy has been conferred with Bronze medal in 2020 Khelo India Youth Games and the Asian Youth & Junior Weight Lifting Championship which was held in Uzbekistan, Tashkent from 12th to 23rd February 2020. She lifted a total of 162 Kgs - 69 Kgs in snatch and 93 Kgs in clean & jerk. Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs & Sports honored the three players; Ms Anai Wangsu, Ms Boni Mangkhya & Ms Usha Kumari who participated in 2020 Khelo India Youth Games. Only 13 players were selected at government cost from overall India. We’re sure that her hard work and dedication will take her to 2020 Tokyo Olympics now.

Muskaan Clinic organized Mega Health Camp at Vijayawada on 12th February, 2020 with an objective to provide quality based health services to truckers at no cost and also to create awareness about the need for regular health check-ups. The outreach and support staff took up the task of registering patients and facilitated the queues to specific services. Special eye check-up camp was organized for truck drivers and mechanics.

14th Edition of Elecrama 2020 was organized by Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) from 18th – 22nd January 2020 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, wherein TCI Group participated as an exhibitor. Spread over an area of 1,10,000 sqm, Elecrama 2020 hosted 1250+ exhibitors from India and 250+ from 100 countries, from global majors to small scale manufacturers, thereby witnessing a footfall of 3,00,000 people in 5 days. It also featured technical conclaves and industry summits, providing a platform for thought leadership.
Management Development Programme was conducted for the executives of TCI by Management Development Institute, Gurugram from 13th-19th January, 2020.
TCI Foundation along with SIAM observed “Road Safety Week” from 11th – 17th January, 2020 at 20 locations across India through free health camps and awareness activities on Road Safety for drivers and conducted eye check-up camps at four different locations. All camps were organized at halt points. The theme for this year was “Sadak Suraksha - Jeevan Raksha” Also some awareness activities like health games, street play, and quiz competitions were organized to motivate them & raise awareness on various health issues.
TCI Institute of Logistics has opened new centers at Dholpur (Rajasthan) and Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) in order to cater to the needs of freshly skilled candidates from Central India and western Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, TIOL has opened up satellite centers at Aurangabad and Purnia which are mapped to Muzaffarpur and Patna center respectively. So far, the Institute has successfully trained 8000+ students and got them placed across different logistics organizations. During April 2019-January 2020, it has placed 470 candidates in different Non TCIL logistics organizations.

As per mandate of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) & Valvoline Cummins Private Limited (VCPL), staff training was scheduled from 21st-22nd November 2019 & 16th-18th December 2019 respectively at Ooty & Goa to improve the healthcare service delivery to the targeted community. Recognizing the need of better healthcare services to the deserving communities through Khushi Suraksha Clinics & Muskaan Clinics, the 3 day residential training was organized for all staff members. The training curriculum was designed to guide and support the staff to handle and manage cases with their knowledge, skills and professional qualities appropriate to the health care need of the community.
Taking the initiative to next level and realizing the importance of road safety, TCI launched the second Safe Safar truck on 13th January, 2020 at Nelamangla, Bengaluru.
With the addition of this truck, TCI Safe Safar will now reach out to the southern & eastern parts of India creating awareness on road safety & health amongst millions.

Khushi Clinic organized Health camp with an aim to provide quality based health services for truck drivers at different HPCL outlets. The health check-up & treatment served to the truckers was in order to provide awareness about health and other health related issues amongst them. The support staff took up the initiative to provide specific services such as registration of patients, facilitation of queues, etc.

AIMA organized the Innovation Practitioners Awards and Summit 2019 on 4th December 2019 in New Delhi.
TCI Group was declared a winner under the category “Innovation in Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility” for the case study on TCI Safe Safar. The award was received by Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head – Business Development, TCI and team in a glittering ceremony.
Over hundred corporates participated out of which 30 case studies were shortlisted. These case studies showcasing high impact innovations were evaluated by a neutral jury panel, comprising of industry veterans & topic experts.
TCI Group was conferred with the FICCI Road Safety Award under the category “Innovative Educational Program in Road Safety” for TCI Safe Safar, the health & road safety initiative, at the 4th edition of the Conference on Road Safety organized by FICCI on 5th December 2019 in New Delhi.

The team at TCI came up with innovation on Baffle Tanks vs. Fixed chassis tankers which mitigates the risk of the slouching effect while transporting hazardous chemicals thus ensuring safety as it reaches it destination.

TCI Foundation observed World AIDS Day with great enthusiasm at its corporate office in Gurugram on 1st December 2019 to show its support & end the HIV/AIDS disease by distributing educational material and red ribbons along with the signature campaign.
On the same day, it also organized 19 HIV testing camps for truck drivers and health games to spread the message at various locations across India. Overall 21 clinics participated. Rallies were also conducted with placards and candle march and formation of human chain was done to create awareness amongst the communities living with HIV/AIDS.

MD TCI, Mr. Vineet Agarwal was a speaker at the prestigious IMA 28th International Management Conclave held on 18th January, 2019 in Indore.

Our health and safety initiative – TCI Safe Safar, was launched at TCI Corporate office in Gurugram on 03rd January, 2019.
The launch witnessed the presence of over 100 TCI Parivar members. It also featured a Nukkad Natak based on the importance of road safety and prizes were distributed during the Q&A round. The event concluded with a pledge taking ceremony.
TCI Institute of Logistics bagged the “Best Employer Brand” Award of north region from World HRD Congress in association with CHRO Asia and ET Now at a ceremony held on 21st December, 2018 at Taj Hotel, New Delhi. Also, Mr. Rahul Dubey was honoured with the “Best L&D Leader” Award at the same ceremony.
TCI SCS was part of a panel discussion on “Indian Retail: Building a Robust Ecosystem – The Policy Perspective” at the 5th CII National Retail Summit held on 11th December, 2018 at New Delhi. The summit focused on establishing a framework for the national retail policy by analyzing and understanding issues plaguing the development of the sector. It was attended by policy makers, e-commerce players, industry leaders and entrepreneurs.
TCI was felicitated with the prestigious “Supply Chain & Logistics Excellence” award under ‘Liquid & Chemical Logistics’ and ‘Road Transportation’ categories respectively at the Supply Chain & Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Awards 2018 hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry - Institute of Logistics, in Pune on 5th December, 2018.
The award was presented by Hon’ble Special Secretary (Logistics), Mr. N Sivasailam, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head - Business Development received the award on the organization’s behalf.
The CII SCALE Awards was introduced to encourage, acknowledge and recognize organizations that follow and succeed with best supply chain practices. Shortlisted companies have to undergo tough stages of evaluation and scrutiny by a jury consisting of experts from various sectors.
CII-Institute of Logistics conducted Smart Logistics Summit in Mumbai on 28th November, 2018 wherein TCI SCS associated as a sponsor. The theme of the event was “Creating Value from Emerging Technologies and Green Practice”.

TCI SCS has won the ‘Marketing Excellence in Supply Chain & Logistics Sector’ in the Global Marketing Excellence Awards organized by CMO Asia on 27th November, 2018 in Mumbai.

Mr. Vineet Agarwal, MD TCI was honored with the “Chief Executive Officer of the Year – 2018” award in pursuit of excellence in supply chain management at NATCOM 2018 organized in Aurangabad on 22nd November by Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM).
IIMM is the national apex body representing a wide spectrum of professionals engaged in the facets of material management, responsible for planning, sourcing, logistics and supply chain management.
A Stakeholders’ Workshop on the business prospects of Dedicated Freight Corridors was organized on behalf of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) by M/s PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd. on October 22nd, 2018 at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi.
The workshop was organized in order to engage the attention of various stakeholders – government officials, investors, logistics companies, etc. - and to get their valuable inputs for consideration in the process of re-orienting the business policies of DFCCIL and to take other initiatives in the freight business.
The workshop was attended by Mr. Ajit Singh, CEO - TCI CONCOR and Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head – Business Development, TCI.
An interactive Q&A session was also organized with the stakeholders and the panel consisting of Chairman, Railway Board, Member – Traffic, Railway Board, MD DFCCIL, Director OP & BD, DFCCIL & Partner, PwC.
Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, the annual half marathon foot-race was organized in New Delhi on 21st October, 2018.
The event saw an active participation of 114 TCI Parivar members including Mr. PC Sharma, CEO TCI Express and Mr. IS Sigar, CEO TCI Freight. 16 members covered the distance of 21.097 kms amongst which Mr. Vinod Upadhyay completed the same in a duration of 2 hours and 14 minutes. Distance of 10 kms and 6 kms was covered by 38 employees and 60 employees respectively.
CII Institute of Logistics organized a conference on ‘Building Warehousing Competitiveness’ with the theme of ‘Standardization, Technology and Automation in Modern Warehousing’ on 12th October, 2018 in New Delhi wherein TCI SCS participated as a silver sponsor.

The conference focused on providing participants a comprehensive view of industry, eco-system and macro-economic trends influencing the supply chain and a vision of the future likely to emerge.
TCI participated in the South Asia Maritime and Logistics Forum 2018, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 9th and 10th October, 2018.
The forum presented the opportunities in Bangladesh and dwelled upon the policy – legal – regulatory aspects with a view to encourage dialogues amongst South Asian countries inter alia moving towards the improvement of connectivity and expansion in trade. It was also an ideal platform for governments, trade associations and industries to collaborate on sharing best practices in the maritime space.

Group Head-In honor of our Founder Chairman, Shri P. D. Agarwal, who instituted the country’s first private blood bank, 11th Annual Blood Donation Drive was held by TCI across 64 locations in India on 17th September, 2018. 1,805 units of blood were donated successfully. The event witnessed presence of approximately 2100 people displaying great enthusiasm and an active participation by women along with others.
TCI strives to contribute towards spreading awareness amongst employees & general public to inculcate the healthy practice of blood donation & lower the possibility of lack of blood to the needy.
Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head – Business Development was invited by Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies on 22nd September, 2018 for a panel discussion in their annual event ‘Colosseum’. The theme of the discussion was “HR for Non-HR Managers” and during the session, Mr. Kanagala laid emphasis on the importance of people skills across various departments and functions.
Colosseum serves as a platform for intellectual meetings between corporate dignitaries and student managers wherein current issues that are relevant to HR and have an impact on the organization, are discussed. It acts as an Industry-Institute interface. It provides a forum where corporate, economists and consultants come together to discuss the existence of HR in organizations and its importance. MD TCI, Mr. Vineet Agarwal was a panelist at the prestigious Horasis India Meeting 2018 on ‘Delivering on Infrastructure’ held at Malaga, Spain. The discussion was chaired by Geoffrey Clements, Chairman, Commonwealth Infrastructure Partners, UK, and addressed the question of augmenting infrastructure investment in India with policy and funding innovations as well as effective PPP.

Mr. Agarwal described how physical infrastructure like roads and railways have made transport more cost effective. He also showed how a lack of storage facilities negatively impacts the agriculture sector.

TCI Foundation, in association with SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) conducted Road Safety camps across multiple cities in India such as Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Kanpur, Vashi, and many more.
During the week-long celebration, i.e. from 23rd to 30th April, 2018, people were made aware and motivated through variety of programmes pertaining to road safety. The campaign included various educational banners, safety posters, safety films, pocket guides and leaflets. The people were also encouraged to follow rules and regulations while driving on road.
CII organized ‘E-Commerce Retail Supply Chain – Driving the Change’ on 25th May, 2018 in Bangalore. The conference focused on various issues related to key growth trends and intrinsic challenges faced by the e-commerce retail logistics industry.

Transport Corporation of India (TCI), in collaboration with Insurance Institute of India, launched the joint study report “Insurance Requirements of the Indian Logistics and Warehousing Industry and their customers”. The report was unveiled by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honorable Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation at an event hosted at the Transport Bhawan, New Delhi on 17th Apr 2018. Objectives of the report is to evaluate the insurance requirements of the Indian Logistics and Warehousing Industry (LWI) and their customers for their in-country operations including multimodal transport; and indicating possible solutions. The research was essentially a quest to find out the gaps between the needs of the logistics industry (and its customers) and the insurance policies available in the Indian market.

The ship has a DWT 13760 with nominal capacity of 712 (TEUs) and was acquired in March, 2017. With this new induction, TCI Seaways will now operate 5 coastal ships covering both the eastern and western ports of India. The new service will be from Mundra to Kochi - Tuticorin and back. It is intended to serve Punjab, UP, NCR, Rajasthan and Gujrat production areas for consumption in South and return cargo from South. Shares of TRANSPORT CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.233.95 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 231.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 5638 in over 115 trades. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 234.5 and intraday low of 224. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1303844.

TCI EXPRESS announced the listing of its shares on the bourses on 15 December, 2016. The company has announced its listing on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at an opening value of Rs. 369.25 and Rs. 367.95 respectively per share. The total paid up capital of the company stands at Rs. 765 Lacs. With the demerger, the new shareholding pattern offered is, each shareholder of TCI Ltd. has been allotted one equity share of Rs 2/- each of TCI EXPRESS Ltd. for every two equity shares of Rs 2/- each held in TCI Ltd.
